This was one of the worst campsites we have had. It started with the check-in process, where the owner checked us in but really only talked to the guy in the lawn chair shooting the breeze and not me. It continued with having to pull out on the street and coming back in to jump the curb to get back into the campground and into our "pull-thru" site. The owner walked us out there, and she told us that our neighbors had been talked with and that would be running our utilities under their camper as our site did not have any. The site was not level, even though it had gravel that could be leveled out. The seasonal campers are rude and don't respect your space, while they parked their boat in and flooded our site with water while cleaning and blocked us in with their mini-van so we could not leave. This campground does not have a view of Lake Pepin from all parts, just one small corner of seasonals. Only come to this campground if you are coming with extra vehicles and boats, because there are no rules on how to park them and manage them on site so you will be happy.

This is an excellent campground, it would be wonderful for a family or for just a couple. There are plenty of things to do around the campground, mini-golf, arcade, indoor swimming pole, outdoor natural swimming hole, free private fishing and boating. Each weekend there is a theme and activities that are associated with the theme. The restrooms were not maintained well through the rainy weekend, they did not step up the maintenance of keeping the sand and moisture under control. The new bathhouses are nice, the old are maintained but they were built under a different standard. We got a call about a week before our stay from the office staff, they wanted to upgrade our site and move us to accommodate a family reunion that was forming around out site. That was really nice of them to do the family and for us, I appreciated that attention to detail and trying to make everyone happy. The one complaint I have is the signage from the North and West is bad, we mentioned it to the office and they seemed to not care and mentioned no one ever comes from the North! Hmmm, we did?

This campground is very family friendly: there is a jumpy pillow, mini-golf, shuffle board, a small in-ground pool, tri-cycle rentals (middle school age toys) and a game room. There is also canoe rentals and tubing, where they will take you to and pick you up from the nearby Red Cedar river. New this year is free Wi-Fi, which seems to cover pretty good in the center part of the park where we stayed twice now this year. The center section roads are well paved, perfect for roller blading. The restrooms and shower house are in the center section, porta pots on the extended areas, but the shower house is very basic. More than half of the campground are seasonals; however, transient campers are very welcome. You will find large units in here, but it is really tight getting around the park and into your site. The rates on the river are $30 a night, but they also get you with $2 AC charge per night (refundable if you don't use it) and any play things that they charge the kids for in the park.

This campground was a great stop along I-90. It was easy to maneuver through and get into your spot with a big-rig. The Wi-Fi was terrible and was not working most of the time. The owners were very helpful with directing you to local businesses. Beware at check-in that they don't just start adding extra charges on the bill, assuming you want certain things.

This campground is hiding behind the Super 8, and the service road to it was very rough. The WI-FI worked very well. The location is a "party" location because it is not far from the Jackson Speedway. The speedway also contributes to the experience because you will hear it very well. The mini-golf looked nice, however we did not play. The dump station was well positioned and it was very easy to maneuver in and out. It appears they have recently added a new big-rig area on the West side of the park, with large pull through and 50 amp service. Most of these new sites are not shaded, which is good for your satellite dish.

This KOA is very tired and needs some help. The restrooms supposedly have been recently renovated and the billboards say they are the cleanest in South Dakota, I beg to differ. The sites are very small for big rigs, we hung out into the road with our 30' fifth-wheel. It rained over night and the roads were very mushy and we dug into them to get pulled out of the campground. Beware of the drive way after you dump your tanks at the dump station, it is a very tight squeeze to get around the North side of the building again.

This is campground is well maintained. The staff (and there were plenty in the off-season) were very helpful to resolve problems with our rig. The cable TV signal was ok, but not the best I have seen. This campground is hard to find with a GPS because the roads have moved in the area, so make sure you watch the signs. This campground seemed sterile, there is not much to it but tightly packed well leveled sites. Tent campers would like this, the shelters provided for them seemed nice. Make sure to check out the great $1 all-you-can-eat pancake breakfasts!

This campground was a great stop over along the I-90 highway. We could easily pull into a pull-thru site and spend the night without having to unhook the fifth-wheel. The showers and restrooms were clean and impressive, it appears they might have been recently overhauled. We never saw anyone from the office staff as the office was never open; we were there during the week in the off-season. There are a lot of seasonal sites at this campground, I am not sure how many are open for transit camping.

This is a nice campground secluded from the hustle and bustle of the town. It is located across the stream from a playground and day use area for the park. The park is tight and moving our 30' fifth-wheel around was difficult, most of the back in sights are very short. There are a couple of pull-thru sites, but they are half-moons in and out sites and not a straight pull through. Be sure to bring shower shoes if you plan to use the showers and bathroom. This park is hard to find, it is located on the Northwest corner of the city. Go south on Western Ave from the Highway 14 by-pass, or go North on Western Avenue from the main highway 14. Watch for very small brown signs. The park is located behind the apartment building complex, on the East side of Western Ave.

The park is an older park, with trees that make it very difficult for a larger unit. There are only 3 travel sites, the rest are seasonal. The restaurant/bar is clean and they have a great fish fry. The bathrooms are very old, but clean for their age. The owners are truck drivers, so they are only around Wednesday thru Saturday. This is a diamond in the rough, don't be scared by it if you can fit into the sites.

This campground is extremely family friendly, there are tons of things for the kids to do here. Parents let their children run with the other kids all day long. Great access to the river for tubing and canoing. The sites are hard to get into with larger units, but you will see them all the time because it is worth it for the kids. The signs from the highway twiddle as you go, hang a right at the other campground and go another half mile to find the Chetek River campground.

This is a great RV park. The park has some interesting placement of signs and some interesting loops to navigate. I presume they welcome kids, but there is no playground equipment to be seen. The end of our site has tomatoes that will be ripe in a day or two for the picking! The WI-FI works pretty good from inside the unit, mid-way through the park.
